Технология существенно влияет на эффективность логистических процессов, способствует повышению безопасности дорожного движения, а также снижает остроту кадрового дефицита», — отметил первый заместитель министра экономического развития Максим Колесников. Роботакси проходят тестирование в Москве, на федеральной территории «Сириус» и в Иннополисе. В Минэке добавили, что в рамках эксперимента совершено более 100 тыс. поездок, а общий пробег превысил 8 млн км. Кроме того, впервые было апробировано автоматизированное управление без водителя в машине. Правительство также внесло изменения в программу эксперимента. По словам директора департамента цифрового развития и экономики данных Минэкономразвития России Владимира Волошина, теперь «расширены и уточнены показатели эффективности, что необходимо для фиксации достижения отдельных задач и проверки гипотез». В августе 2024 года Cruise, дочерняя компания General Motors по производству беспилотных автомобилей, сообщила , что подписала многолетнее соглашение с гигантом Uber. Cruise планировала представить свои роботакси на платформе Uber в 2025 году.
